Workout leggings — also sometimes referred to as "tights"  are a great to prepping for the gym. Whether you're wearing them for low-impact workouts like yoga, high-intensity exercise like cycling and running, or or heavy-duty exercises, your workout gym leggings should be comfortable, breathable, and durable. 1.Check the fabric

Believe or not, synthetic performance fibers like nylon and polyester are better than cotton for workout gym leggings because they’re often moisture-wicking, more durable, and have better stretch. Pick a smooth, shiny fabric to reduce chafing in high-impact activities like running. For studio workouts like yoga where there's less friction, choose a soft fabric that looks matte.

2.Make sure they touch you

Put your workout gym leggings to the test by performing a few basic squats at the store. If the waistline creep down toward your hips as you moved, they are so big for you. If the seams press into your stomach uncomfortably, they're too small. Avoid leggings that bunch around the ankles and knees, as these problem areas will likely get worse with continued wear.

3.Look at the construction

The seams on the inside should be flat, not raised cause they're more comfortable and help reduce irritation caused by sweat.

To see how it handles moisture, place a small drop of water on the inside of the legging; it should absorb quickly and spread out wide instead of beading up.

4.Make sure they’re not see-through

Try on the leggings in bright light for best results. If you can see your skin through the fabric, it’s not fully opaque.
